Estimator Job Description

Excelsus Solutions, LLC is seeking an Estimator, responsible for estimation of sound pricing practice, source selection and procurement functions directly associated witht the Company's business in digital printing. Knowledge of processes beyond the scope of digital printing is essential.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Accurate and timely development of estimates from the prints and design specifications from files supplied by the client, sales representative or web system portal;

·         Enter received estimates into the estimating and job costing system, work to ensure that the quote is returned to the client by their requested date, and pricing on materials are up to date;

·         Determine what phases or parts of the project will be subcontracted to others, and follow-up on bids;

·         Review job cost summary reports and evaluates the profitability of all completed assigned jobs, be alert to opportunities to change estimating methods, which can benefit company;

·         Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers; and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities;

·         Develop reliable, alternative sources of supply to meet the company’s requirements;

·         Consults with the various production and support departments of the company to ensure that the specific amount of inventory and stock materials necessary are available, coordinate timely and accurate receipt and follow-up on expected delivery dates;

·         Manage consignment inventories and replenishment in a timely and profitable manner; ensure the proper execution of hazardous waste removal to include accurate documentation;

·         Perform and assist with digital print production planning and scheduling as required.



Requirements

  • Knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes reguired;

  • One to two years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with TQT ERP system a big puls;

  • Strong computing skills with MS Outlook, Word and Excel;

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in relevant field is preferred;

  • Possession of strong organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail and sense of urgency;

  • Demonstrates ability to tactfully handle difficult situations;

  • Excellent math, verbal and written communication skills. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills;

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignment. 


Compensation
  • Based on experience.
